The Tour de Femmes is finishing in Nice and those distant views of the beach area look very enticing. We went there by boat but it anchored in the next bay so we took a taxi up over the hill where the riders were coming down on their run into Nice. As for the beach, you need to wear beach shoes and have a thickish mat to put down becuase that whole thing is rocky. There is a sandy spot they have trucked in for the beach volleyball but that was it. I assume there is sand out there so maybe they can do the Surfers Paradise trick and use a pump to put sand all over the shore. Just a thought.
