Yet another book on my shelf that I have forgotten where it has come from. It is secondhand and has Donna Jansz name written inside the cover. As for the story, it is based in WA, as a lot of Tim Winton stuff is (eg CloudStreet). I can claim some knowledge here, as I spent four weeks driving from Broome to Perth one time and not once did I ever think the area was as drenched in rednecks, like he paints in this book. It is worth a read and also has a musical theme that still gets me mixing up Tim Minchin with Tim Winton. It was made into a film last year and from the trailer I just watched, seems to drift a lot from the book's story.
