Picnic Covers

How to keep birds from eating your strawberries? It has taken us a while to get some.  I hit on the idea of using cake covers that keep out the flies on the picnic table.  We have anchored them to the ground like ready made strawberry nets.  Across the road there has been a fire risk from a large pile of brush cuttings left behind last year.  There has been some action with a mobile wood chipper reducing the pile to chips.
