Ideal beach day

I went to the beach today twice.  Around 10:30 am I did my swim and  I have concluded that the old mask with the new flippers is my best combination.  One of the straps is broken but it is a full mask not the eye piece style you get these days. In the afternoon I went back and whilst sitting back you make the inevitable observations such as the couple who spent 1 hour unloading two fishing kayaks and getting them down to the water then spent two hours roaming around and then another hour packing it up and dragging it back up the hill.  Two hours of effort for two hours of calm. I did the same thing with a massive kayak 15 yar ago. We were thinking of getting back into kayaks but I might save the energy for a light weight snorkel bag. Also saw two blokes stealing mussels off the pylons.
