I went across for a swim around 10:30am after an hours worth of vacuuming. An onshore breeze was getting up a little chop in the water and there was quite a bit of grass. The Taylor's arrived around 12:30 and we went immediately to Bennett's for cheese platters champagne and pizza. They are sleeping it off. I have been reading Anne Drysdale's diary and am getting dejavu when I write this stuff. Here is part of her entry for Jan 1st 1846.
Storms of thunder and lightning with heavy rain all day. Robert came up from the marshes and announced that Di (one of the horses) was killed by lightning also 18 young chickens and turkeys drowned in their pen. An unfortunate day...
