Jacks are everywhere. Jack the ripper, Jack Frost, Jack of all trades and not to forget Jack Sparrow and also Jack Ryan and Jack Horner. This book is the first ever appearance of Jack Reacher. There are numerous films and now TV series and this guy you don't want to mess with. In this first edition Reacher's brother is taken down and that is a no no which means it's time to take down the bad guys one by one. This idea must work as there has been nearly one book per year since this one in 1997. The book was a freebie at Williamstown as they must have had one on the shelf already. As Lee Child might say " I'm all right, Jack."
