We packed the car to the brim and we were not even camping just setting up for a Christmas lunch at Williamstown. After unpacking I went down to the jawbone area with the snorkel gear. The tide was the lowest I had seen but on a calmer day I think you could still snorkel. I tried it anyway but the water was stirred with gritty stuff. Calmer and deeper is better. The water temperature allows a swim at anytime it did not feel cold at all. I am not used to walking 10 minutes on a path in thongs or i could just walk it slower.
