I have been tucking into the Taylor's garden variety mandarins in the last few days. We did nor take them all to the 'Produce Tree'. They are small but sweet. I read somewhere that half of all produce is rejected by supermarkets because of blemishes, size or odd shapes. Someone has started a business selling this stuff cheaply online. I remember the apricots back in Gaffney street over 50 yar ago. They were the best and the tree was forever being hit by something, later surrounded by concrete to its base and losing branches where eventually even just a trunk still managed a few apricots. I digress. I can't remember what I was going to type, maybe just that the mowing and the bed making was done today, which means the elbows need a rest.
