Biggles and the Deep Blue Sea

 If you want a simple story line after reading a few complex history of the universe type epics then you can't do much better than a Biggles yarn.  WE Johns was a fighter pilot in WW1 and after being shot down, wounded, captured and escaping three times he decided he would write adventure stories with a flying ace pilot as the lead character.  He is qualified.  There are over 50 of these books and you can read them in a day.  This one revolves around a desert island with killer fish. You can tell they were written in the 1950s by an Englishman, with this one line where Biggles is having a go at the bad guy.

                                        "Let me take this opportunity of saying you're a stinker."

I was poking around to check for the above picture and I found a secondhand book website that sold the exact copy I have (above) for ￡600.  Not sure why this one is rarer.
