Wet feet in Bunninyong

It was a pretty drizzly start to the Women's national road race.  We parked in a paddock towards the mountain top however in this Covid edition you needed a ticket to walk up to the Disseldorp enclosure which we did not have. Instead we took a short cut straight down to the start line. It was around 2km and it  never stopped raining. My feet stayed wet for the rest of the day.  We saw both Michael and Kerry Gigante in the town but it was not their daughter's day for a win but she did well enough to get a bronze medal in the under 23's.  We had some lunch at a restaurant in the town and then got home in time to see the last 50km of the mens race on TV after watching them take off at the start line.

Not your typical way to the race
