Ender's Game

I have returned to my Hugo list with the 1986 winner 'Ender's Game' and this time I am better prepared with the sequel, as it also won the Hugo in 1987. Of course there are another 10 more books in the series which did not win Hugos but I have drawn the line at tracking them down for the time being.  back inside the book, gifted kids are trained via video games and 3D simulators to become military commanders whose job is to lead from their console back at the office.  This one made it into a big $110 million budget film with a heavy duty cast. However it only grossed about the same in the box office so the rest of the films were scrapped.
