DreamSnake

I have read another Hugo book. This one is the winner from 1979. It is about a fantasy world created by nuclear fallout where people are isolated and healers visit these groups using snakes and their venom to heal disease and sickness.  One particular snake is more valuable but they are dying out until the heroine finds a nest of vipers in a bombed out dome.
