The Melbourne Cup weekend also hosts the Toast to the Coast winery tour. You can get a bus but we have the designated Mick the driver option who can get free lemonades along the way. We can get tastings but you end up paying $25 for your bottle of bubbly anyway. We went to four venues and got some food at each one. They also have a band but if you move far enough away it works. By the time you get to Basil's Farm there are patrons layed out on the ground and some can't get up without assistance. A good day was had all round with the coffees back on our balcony.
