Debbie has had this plant in the front yard for some years now. It has suddenly decided to flower for the first time forming large bright yellow cones jutting above the foliage. On closer inspection there are hundreds of small yellow circles forming the cone. It seems that flowers will not appear until the plant is matured which takes some years but flowering may not be every year. There are reports from some areas that it is a weed needing control when having escaped from a garden.
