I went across for a late stroll a few days back and found a large rubber section that had been torn from its bolted mounts. Most likely a fishing boat. It looked like a section of skirting that had come off and was buried deep at the waters edge. I brought the spade back and started to clear the sand. This was one of the harder cleanup jobs I have found. The incoming water would bring the sand back in. Then I was stirring up the sea grass caught on the other side. I was tiring quickly and thinking about my toes. Eventually I got one end clear but could not lift it out so pressed on until there was a bit of movement. Hooray. I needed a breather after that. Carrying it up the hill was ok as it was reasonably lightweight.
