We brought back some new water shoes from Hervey Bay last week so I gave them a test at Williamstown along with the Kogan video camera. I think this camera will work well enough when we get to some real reef swimming. I made several minutes of video without any issues. Last time it seemed to record short clips only but that must have been me. The shoes were good, providing reasonable grip but you still have to think about placing your feet on wet rocks. The idea, when we get to Fitzroy Island later in Winter, is to carry these shoes in a net bag across the back while swimming. Then you can emerge onto a different beach say 1 km down the coast and walk back with foot coverage. Simples!
