HMAS Parramatta casually went passed our front door yesterday. I am expecting big things when the Navy pier across the way, has finished its upgrade. They have been going at it for two years now, pile driving here, constructing there. It seems a bit friendly to advertise where your war ships are by looking up the marine traffic app on your phone. Oh sure enough, there it is, exact latitude and longitude. We are obviously not expecting a surprise attack. We think the ship has gone to Geelong for an ANZAC day celebration.
A newish ship built in Williamstown and commissioned in 2003. It's a torpedo and missile launcher. |
