I normally do the snorkel swim in the morning, however I bought the gear with me this afternoon but it was as I suspected with many snorkellers crowding the way. I would say 10 of them were sporting spear guns and spear chukas. That was enough for me so I just got wet and cooled off as far as the rock groyne and left them to it. One guy was professionally kitted out. It took an hour to get ready and in the water and he only stayed in for 30mins. Not a fish did I see being caught though.
