Pole Growth

Having somewhat of a slow day here. I did send the robot on its rounds down stairs. I wonder how the Christmas robots are going and if they are any good at plucking cat hair from the floor. I also did a rubbish collection along the beach. I got a few cans and one bottle along with bottle tops and half a dozen cigarette butts.  I also brought back a coral like structure that grows on the poles just below the surface. It consists of thousands of tubes all wound tightly together. Maybe a worm is excreting a tunnel as it grows.  This stuff is hard and sharp at the edges.  We saw a guy cutting chunks of it for a classroom a few years back. They were going to count the number of bugs in a sample but I can't remember the name.
