I found an example below of what people used to do years ago eg letter writing. This woman is writing in 1980, from New Zealand, to say she is sorry she can't write because she is so busy, even though she is writing to say that! It is an international aerogram form with postage attached. Those NZers also had a concept of Health Camps where the money from certain stamps funded the camp.
