Sea Grass begone

Just checked out the beach after two days of scraping and raking.  It is looking its best ever and we are not sure if this is an annual beach management task but we will be telling the council it was  a good job.  Now we just need to get dogs banned and all will be well. I think that item ranks alongside flying pigs.

Poked and Prodded III

A 35° day is not my ideal choice to spend with doctors and nurses.  I have been given a blow by blow description in minute detail of all that can be expected before and after the extraction. I have been shown where the holes will be, all five of them. Which holes will still have tubes in them when I wake up. There will be bags for stuff going in and bags for stuff coming out, plural. I have also learnt where my penis muscles are and received a schedule of when to exercise them. I was asked to perform some of these manoeuvres under observation.  I am not sure how females get to be such experts. We may yet walk over to the beach as I can see numerous cars arriving and blocking each other in. I am keen to see how the sea grass has been cleaned up.

Beach Invader

Went down for my slosh in the water but was greeted by a front end loader that was careening from one end of the beach to the other.  I guess the objective was to bury any dried sea grass that was still sitting on the sand.  During winter there were metres of it in some corners but it has gradually washed away or blown away. It was certainly a noisy hour, even in the water I could hear it.

Album 9

I have found that some of these photos have crossed over from other albums however the chronology is still running OK. This album covers Jan 95 to Jan 96. It starts with some camping at Langhi Ghiran and a walk to lake Tarli Karng, as well as a rogaine in the Lal Lal state forest.  So these kids must be of an age when you can get them outdoors more consistently.  More activities include Charlotte's Web at the Collingwood children's farm, a session at Science Works and tree climbing at Woodlands park. There is a brief mention of Carlton premiers in Marysville 40th birthday. It finishes with a bike ride at Point Nepean, a fixed hang glider ride at Mt Beauty and 40th P (for Paul) party.

Poked and Prodded II

Spent another day of forms, blood letting, spectral measurements and bottle peeing, other than that it was all pretty normal.  The ECG lady was wondering why her wires weren't sticking too me. I said that will be the torso cream that I use for the Grover's problem. OK that means an alcoholic scrubbing so I can get good purchase, she says.  Before all this, I asked the doc about the actual % of cells that are causing me trouble, hinting that overall, my problem is less than 20%. He says it is my grading of 4, which is another measurement scale, together with a younger, fitter age group that leads him to recommend the prostate removal.  Just checking I said.  That's not the only thing coming out, like my wallet, to the tune of $2656.  He says for that money he can film the whole thing for me to watch later.  Cameras are all part of the robot arms anyway.

Tree's Up

Even putting up a Christmas tree takes much longer in a new house.  We had a head start because one yar ago we did a house inspection and there was a tree decorating the formal lounge. We agreed it was a good place for it. Ours is twice the size but it still works, as this house swallows anything you throw at it.  The windows are tinted so you cannot see it during the day but a night view should be good from the outside.

Summer Day

The first day of Summer was hovering around 30°. We got some grass mowed and edges trimmed before lunch. The beauty of beaching here is that you can take your time. We had lunch on the balcony watching the yacht races.  Then you can dawdle down for an hour or two and come back for some more drinks on the balcony.  Mind you we were surrounded by dogs whose owners had no idea what their dogs were doing.  We have resolved to try the far end of the beach next time it is more crowded.
