I carried the bag with the usual stuff like flooring, towels, snacks, drinks, various lotions and potions as well as the reading material. The umbrella was strapped across my back with the bucket of spades in the other hand and the all important new noodle balanced on my head. Now this noodle had a seated net that came with it but there were no instructions so it was cobbled together the wrong way and kept coming apart when she sat in it. In the end she clawed on with both hands and legs and I pulled her no problem as well as the traditional placement under the armpits. After that it was all about warming up with sand castles, snacks and sunshine. The breeze was a bit cool.
