There was one Geelong council gardener who was running the show and has contributed all the necessary tools for the group. I have seen this sort of thing before but the group involved then, was a jobless initiative and only worked along the cliff tops. On that occasion the money ran out and piles of cut underbrush lay strewn about for 8 months. These are volunteers who are on the job this time and are down on the beach proper. The work requires smaller weeds being bagged at the far end and a mountain of cut brush is being piled at the creek end. Us amateurs who have cleared small patches may be out of work, although nature never stops.
