Way way back one of the jobs that O'brien Catering paid for was the paying out of a penny for every bottle collected at the Footy. Kids were forever combing the football ground for bottles and it meant we did not have to go back later to pick them up. When the Grandies cotton onto an extra pocket money source, I can see we might have to store containers in a separate bin. Our bin was full to the brim and I estimate there may have been up to $20 worth in there, mainly after having visitors over four days of Easter. I assume once containers get into the garbo truck the recycle payout does not happen. I spied one of the container sheds the other day and it was mostly children feeding stuff into the machine. Not sure how you get your payment though.
