It was still overcast but beach rubbish does not wait for the weather so I got the bag out for a beach patrol. East of the breakwater is looking good. The mountain of dried grass that had been placed there is all washed away. No doubt it will get put back in the next few weeks. The council have been busy elsewhere. I have mentioned previously about the Dell underwater sculpture park which had been on the agenda for years before being dumped. It was replaced by the imitation reef project. I think the guys I spied in the Dell area may have been installing some of that reef. It is basically a series of underwater mounds with pigeon holes that they anchor to the bottom. Supposed to be good for fish and plants. We will see. I need to get a closer look.
