We were under the impression that the mountain of stuff building up in the garage could be taken away by the council. We had deliveries of furniture a while back and the packaging is equally cardboard and polystyrene both of which the council wont take but they will if you can get it to the recycle centre which it seems we have one of in Drysdale. However this one does not take the polystyrene, we have to take it to Geelong. Also it seems the foam wrapping is not recyclable but must go in the bin. There are many other rules like on the lid of our bin it says put milk and drink containers in for recycle but on the web site and brochures it says milk containers are not recyclable. I spent an hour sorting this stuff but I will need to go back and remove the foam parts.
