It was blowing from the North but our piece of veggie dirt is quite protected from that direction so it did not stop us getting the green thumbs out. Mine were black thumbs by the time I did the weeding and bleeding. I can tell you, strawberry plants that have been in the ground for three years get quite woody underneath. We had a row of 12 plants or so that were due to be replaced and they pop out of the ground with no trouble. Not like some of the other stuff sprouting in the last six months. Also found, were a few ugly grubs that happily got disposed of. We know that shredded paper is good for worm farms maybe I should just be burying the stuff out back. The ground is prepared and resting.
