Envy the Night

This is a stock standard crime thriller, although not all the bad guys were killed off in this one so the ending was a bit different.  It is set in a cold wet place and I am hanging out for a bit of sunshine around here, even the books I am reading are short of it.  It says in the notes that this story was written as part of a writing class and that the writer Koryta is a licensed private detective who wanted to turn some of his work into written stories. I don't reckon any of this story has much truth to it.
