We were not able to get across to Dunk Island so spent the day lazing around and with a pub lunch thrown in however on the drive back to the unit, there it was on the side of the road. Now previously we had gone to quiet areas of bush, to out of the way walking tracks, always from hustle and bustle. But no luck finding a casowary. This time a casowary just crossed the road in front of us to get to the otherside. It walked down into a backyard. We waited to get a few photos without going down into the yard.
