We have been on the job trying something new for us with these cannisters of LEDs. They are not really a cannister but a drum wound tight with 40 metres of decoration. These are like long strings of barbed hooks that get tangled just by looking at them. Lesson one is not to take them off the drum before you put them up but unwind as you go. Lesson two if trying to string these out on the deck and the drum does not pass under the glass then do not unstring them all and try to rewind them onto some unwieldy thin strip but something more sturdy that can be grabbed by a pair of barbecue tongs as it is passed back up to the top of the glass. Ignore multiple weird looks from passers by wondering why barbecue tongs are being used for decos. Lesson three after having successfully deployed all 120 metres of deco make sure you read what colour is contained within the drum before you put then all up. One half totally red and the other half multi colour still looks Christmassy but not quite right. Meaning that the red half will have to be taken down. And you can't check these effects until 9:30pm when its dark.
