Flinders Peak

I have been here for two yar now in this house across the bay and every day I gaze across to the You Yangs and Flinders Peak. Even driving down here to Collendina and elsewhere I have always driven past but never had a look. So today we went for a closer look. It crossed my mind that today was a Sunday but maybe it would be quiet because everyone drives past there. It may as well have been March Fools day.  We could not find a carpark. We parked on the road a ways further down. There were hundreds of cars but the people were absorbed into the bush. So it was reasonably calm just meandering up to the top.  We spent an hour walking on the return trail with 30 min stopping along the way.  We also stopped in Lara for lunch the Founder & Co.  The food was good. We shared a steak sandwich but the decor was a bit non existent.  The only other time we went to the Flinders Park was to ride a couple of the mountain bike trails a few years before we moved. We could see our house from the top.

There's the house
