Bidding flurry

I had been following two lots at an online stamp auction.  Staying as the top bidder was a daily task and also became obvious that someone else was also keen. This went on for two weeks until the auction day. Today.  I had been successful on previous occasions but I had beaten off the opposition before the auction. This time was different and I had not yet seen how the screen worked or what buttons to press in a flurry of bidding.  In the end I missed them both. Buttons were being pressed but it may have to do with internet speeds at the time as there are only seconds to make your bid.  Better luck next time but at least I have seen the layout of what appears when you are not top bidder.
