Steiglitz Retiree's Ramble No 8
It was 14 April 1984 when I did a 12hr Rogaine in the Steiglitz area. That day we travelled 26km! Yesterday was a mere 9 or 10 km in 3 hrs. Munster, Flying Dutchy, Brownlow, Sixpac, Franster and Hostyle wandered around the gold fields but we did not find any gold. It is mostly a ghost town with only the Court House, the Drapers Shop and a hall plus a few houses left. It is dry open forest with lots of grass trees ( Xanthorrhoea ).
