Stone the Crows

It has come to my attention that birds have been aiding in the proliferation of fruit trees. Who would have thought. A year ago I gathered enough pips to fill a shopping bag and now the pips are back. There are apricots, plums and peaches.  I have not seen which birds are the culprits but seeing that the problem is stone fruit then naturally suspicion would fall on the Crows. Fruit is also being dropped from a great height so that the splatter effect makes for easier access to the flesh.  Why our yard is a target I'm not sure. It's a good thing birds don't like watermelon. Observe the photographic evidence.

  2. Yes ROBOT agrees with that. There was a huge bat sitting in the tree. I was out last night trying to get a photo. They really are fruity bats.
