Country Types at City Sites

We did the drive in steady rain into Melbourne City but first we were off to Cremorne to pickup a cake. Now I don't think I have ever set foot in a suburb called Cremorne. Anyway we are stumbling around and do find this crazy cake shop in an industrial Richmond back street. Now to get back into the city where we just drove thru and the rain is ever worse.  We are going to Yakimono but it seems you can't really drive up to it so we take a huge underground carpark and surface inside the biggest Asian food hall I have ever been in and that includes Hong Kong and Japan.  Eventually we work out that you walk between any building on the block to get to the centrepiece.  Now this restaurant is top notch and we had a set 10 course menu. The octopus serving was a highlight. It was a high standard of food and service but we had no room for cake.

Can Laura translate Yakimono?

  1. Ah Ha! The second last course of 10 was meat, most of the others were seafood. Maybe they could have called it Shīfūdo.
