We are half returned but my time estimates need to be adjusted if you are hiring a car at an offsite airport location. It is around half the price eg $50 a day but add an hour to the time it takes to enter the airport door. The car ferries have been very efficient but I find Brisbane airport to be a bit slow. We have heard that Jetstar has started direct flights from Avalon to Brisbane, now that is a big advantage. We had some very wet days here which is typical but the two days on Straddie were low 20's and plenty of Sun.
