You might remember some 30 yar back that a wall map of Melbourne was produced in what might be described as a caricatured version of Melbourne. These were more art than map but you could definitely recognise road patterns, features etc. Melinda Clarke was the one who started this venture and I was reading about a much more recent map of the Bellarine Peninsular which was inspired becuase she moved to this area. These projects are 5 year marathons to get one of these maps published. I ordered a laminated copy and the web page said expect a delivery the following week. I was standing on the balcony and a car pulled up and a lady leaned out and said your Neil aren't you. This was Melinda Clarke who was hand delivering my copy of the Bellarine map. She also threw in a calendar which featured the updated Melbourne map, this was another 5 year project which brought in all the changes in Melbourne over the last 30 yar to the new Melbourne edition. She said that to get thru the Covid mayhem she printed her map on a diversified range of gear eg tea towels and mainly jigsaw puzzles.

Maybe I should have gotten her to sign my copy |

There is also a Where's Wally type of search list for features |
