We have been here for five years now and there always seems to be something new out on the water. Two guys in a boat were rattling around at the very end of the groyne. One was in the water and the other was trying to keep the boat in touch with the rock wall. What I did not notice about 30 metres away is that the yellow bouy was gone, however they had it up against the rocks. About 10 mins later they had it reattached and was towing it back to it's spot. I have been out to this particular bouy and there is a certain amount of growth on the underside, being barnacles, mussels and other plant stuff. I figured it must have come off its mooring line but no, they zoomed 300 metres to the next bouy, unhitched it and towed it across to the next groyne down yonder. So it seems to be some sort of bouy maintenance. Council rates at work.
