Neighbours

Held a luncheon this afternoon for the three immediate neighbours on all sides of us. One was the next house over because the actual neighbour is a holiday house.  Anyway there were eight of us altogether for pumpkin soup and lasagna. We found out a lot of stuff like the reason there is no public car park at the top of our beach ramp is because of an aboriginal site there.  Also the 2km long pier across the way near Avalon is a naval installation. It served an ammunition storage yard where warships, including a submarine, that would dock there for armament loading. It seems this has been discontinued in only the last 10 years.  I'd like to see a Battleship pull up there but not any time soon.
